The role of the Public Relations Assistant a vital part of the department in driving the brand’s overall awareness through public relations & celebrity initiatives to generate qualitative visibility for the Maison in North America, as well as supporting Global opportunities taking place in the region. The assistant works directly with the local and worldwide (WW) teams to support the US and Canada markets and provides daily support to the Public Relations & Celebrity teams.
Your day-to-day consists of cross-functional communication between boutique & corporate teams for product loans, attending photoshoots & fittings, executing the processes necessary to support our initiatives from the Cartier New York Mansion, leading all gifting initiatives in New York. What You’ll Do
Liaison for logistics between the NY Corporate teams, NY Mansion, and external parties – with a focus on loans from USD2 or Mansion product:
Execute SAP processes, logistics and shipments for editorial, influencer and celebrity pulls; partner with Mansion Richemont Logistics team to complete all necessary processes; ensure inventory is returned and reconciled in systems
Updating look books based on availability, new launches, boutique transfers, and more – should be updated regularly to ensure accuracy and reflect strategic collections.
Handle inventory control including movement within Boutique Inventory Tool and PR stock, tagging, quality control, organization, protection, cycle counts, auditing, and reconciliation/problem solving
Lead for all Mansion loan pick-ups and returns & quality control check
Lead point of contact for all PR & Celebrity appointments in Mansion – including VIP discount purchases, Mansion filming, service repairs, walk-throughs with New York publications, editors, e-influencers, stylists, fittings and more
Corporate Office & Off-Site Functions:
Arrange security for all shoots taking place in NY, as well as occasionally outside of NY
Handle the pieces on-site, as needed, including support in the coordination of NY-based photoshoots and celebrity fittings
Key point of contact and leader for gifting & treatment –with a focus on gifting FOC, special orders, VIP discount orders, tailor-made brand image moments & events, etc.
Enters coverage for treatment reports and support with yearly holiday gifting program.
Track analytics & ROI from New York-based photoshoots and activations
Organizes all shipping including local messengers; ensures that shipments executed at a high standard and paperwork is prepared correctly
Tracking shipments to monitor progress of packages and escalates any issues
Support press clippings for editorial coverage across print, digital and social, including ensuring that all magazines and newspapers are properly tagged, clipped and managed through an online and in-person database
Perform general administrative duties including maintaining organized press library, archiving, scanning, packaging, gift wrapping, etc.
Creates calendar alerts for all NA cross-departmental deadlines
Updates managers with important daily media alerts with highlights and notes

What you need to succeed
We use SAP, Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and DMR daily - you must be digitally savvy. Given the nature of Public Relations & Celebrity Initiatives, the ability to demonstrate tact and discretion is a must. A few more things we look for: flexibility to adapt quickly, ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, expert in managing complex logistics, agility to adapt to change & last minute requests, skillful communicator especially when working with key opinion leaders and challenging circumstances, ability to influence & negotiate, and strong presentation skills.
